Diagnose and treat problems with patients’ teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth. They provide advice and instruction on taking care of the teeth and gums and on diet choices that affect oral health.
Responsibilities
Examine, diagnose and treat oral diseases.
Perform oral treatments including root canals, extractions, and fixing and removing prosthetics.
Work with clinical staffs to provide quality patient treatments.
Educate patients on preventive dental care and oral health care.
Qualifications
– Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree, Dentistry or equivalent.
– Possess valid MDC & APC.
– At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

2. Scheduling Appointments: Managing the appointment calendar, scheduling patient visits, and confirming appointments via phone, email, or text.
3. Answering Phone Calls: Handling incoming calls from patients, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries about services, and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
4. Patient Registration: Collecting and entering patient information into the office database, including personal details, insurance information, and medical history forms.
5. Billing and Insurance: Processing insurance claims, verifying insurance coverage, explaining billing procedures to patients, and collecting payments for services rendered.
6. Maintaining Records: Organizing and maintaining patient files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information in compliance with privacy regulations.
7. Assisting with Administrative Tasks: Providing administrative support to dental staff, such as filing paperwork, managing correspondence, and handling other office duties as needed.
8. Handling Patient Concerns: Addressing patient inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a courteous and professional manner, and escalating issues to the appropriate staff members if necessary.
9. Sterilization and Sanitation: Assisting with the sterilization of dental instruments and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the reception area.
10. Appointment Reminders: Sending appointment reminders to patients via phone, email, or text message to reduce no-show rates and optimize scheduling.
11. Patient Education: Providing basic information to patients about dental procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care instructions.
