Job Summary A Counsellor is a key member of our care team, responsible for providing a professional and confidential counselling service to our students and advice and guidance to our teaching colleagues so that, as a college, we support the development of our students’ social, emotional and psychological wellbeing as well as their academic achievements. A Counsellor plays an important leadership role in promoting our core values of integrity, empathy and mutual-respect. Responsibilities: • Provide individual and group counselling services for student. • Analyse needs, plan, organise and lead programmes and events related to mental health and counselling. • Work closely with various student bodies in promoting counselling services. • Conduct talks, workshops, career and personality assessment related to counselling. • Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports. • Ensure all forms and processes in use are kept up-to-date and relevant at all times. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information, including academic qualifications, applications, and other relevant data. Requirements: • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Counselling or Psychology, preferably a Degree in Counselling. • Possess a counselling license issued by the Lembaga Counsellor Malaysia. • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in counselling. • Sound knowledge and skills in practicing at least 3 counselling theories. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with individuals at all levels. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexible and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills. • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally within the role. • Approachable and personable demeanour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Cultivate and strengthen business relationships to generate new leads.  Manage inquiries, ensuring all emails, incoming calls and walk-in enquiries are responded promptly and in a professional manner.  Strategise and implement plans to increase and meet sales targets.  Initiate and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and working partners.  Drive enrolment activities for the assigned coverage.  Possess sound knowledge of course requirements in growing new enrolments, contributing to the targets assigned.  Provide effective counselling and guidance to assist leads i.e. potential students to select the right programme and course.  Maintain consistent contacts with prospective students throughout the enrolment process to achieve sales objectives.
