BROAD FUNCTION The Hygiene and Environmental Officer is a competent person on WWTP plant, Pest Control and Waste Management program of the plant. Provides strong leadership to his subordinates to achieve full plant compliance with all personnel safety, food safety, Hygiene and Environmental /cleaning requirements pertaining to all legal compliance, customer requirements and the Company’s own food safety and manufacturing standards. The Hygiene and Environmental Officer is responsible for the daily management of WWTP plant, Pest Control, Waste Management program and project support to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of Operation. Hygiene and Environmental Officer performs a variety of tasks including special projects, managing operations of WWTP, plant pest control program, execution of waste management program, requisitioning supplies and equipment, facilities inspection, and other duties as required based on the needs of the business. 

The Hygiene and Environmental Officer works with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment to address issues but will be required to justify actions. The Hygiene and Environmental Officer is a working position who required to work in a team environment, or on specific assigned projects. Duties will also include helping to develop new methods, staff training and evaluation, and completing reports. Special Project Assignments may occasionally fluctuate between inside & outside environments, scheduled work shifts, scheduled workdays and may involve travel. Ensure implement our company’s policies. As a Hygiene and Environmental Officer, you will be responsible for establish, review, update or developing protocols in line Quality and Food safety of company, legal, customer and safety regulations. You will also be required to conduct daily inspections and oversee staff work task, job effectiveness and training for betterment of your team. Your job will be required to spending min 70% of you day on floor supervision, follow up on pending/open items and enforcement existing procedure in place.

As Hygiene and Environmental Officer, you should demonstrate strong leadership skills, detailed knowledge of the food and beverage industry, and a good eye for detail. Responsible to ensures the manufacturing facility is always up to code and running efficiently.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Hold competency for WWTP competent person: o Operation Of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (Physical Chemical Processes) (CePIETSO-PCP) o Operation Of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (Biological Processes) (CePIETSO-BP) 
• Ensure all legal compliance related to environmental. 
• Lead ISO 14001 program on site. • Designing and implementing Hygiene and Environmental policy and protocols. 
• Coordinating and monitoring WWTP Plant Operations. • Creating and distributing work schedules direct reports.
• Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities. • Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities. 
• Providing feedback to company managers and advising on manufacturing changes. 
• Coordinating the services of contractors and external crews. • Responsible to prepare SOP documents and cleaning checklist for the Hygiene and Environmental tasks.
• Conduct Food Safety Training such as GMP, HACCP and Food Safety awareness. 
• Responsible to monitor the Hygiene and Environmental activity across the plant. 
• Supervise Hygiene and Environmental crew/contract cleaner on their day to day jobs. 
• Responsible for the pest control program in the plant. 
• Responsible to report to pest service provider if any live pest found internally or externally and able to verify the situation by eliminating the potential source of the pest. 
• Responsible for calibration of measurement equipment in IETS plant. 
• Responsible for plant waste management program and reporting. 
• Responsible to monitor the appearance of the employee garments and report to HOD on the situation. To follow up to ensure no issue related to employee garments. 
• Responsible to issue DCRN upon any document’s changes.
• Prepare an accurate report and submit timely. •
• Ability to apply laws, rules and regulations to the work. 
• Maintain Inventories of tools, equipment and material related to your area of responsibility. 
• Other duties as assigned.
