About BADAN AMAL KASING SAYANG (BAKASA)
The foundation of BAKASA, a non profitable organisation, is to be concerned
with the agenda of a caring society via uplifting the standards of living of the
unfortunate and the needy, especially where it concerns the children. Since
2004, BAKASA had been heavily involved with charity work and in 2009, Rumah
Kanak-kanak Tengku Ampuan Afzan (RuKTAA) in Raub, Pahang, was opened.
The children are our future, thus it is our responsibility to ensure that they get
the basic needs they require and their rights protected as their welfare and
education is of our paramount priority. It is our hope for all of us to come
together again for the same cause and help us towards ensuring that these
children will be equipped with quality education and care that is important not
just to assist in inculcating values but will also eventually mould and augment
the nation’s moral fibre, growth and collective harmony
RuKTAA is the first and only home that provides Centre of Innovation for its Children. Children at RuKTAA are privileged with having in its grounds, “CINTAA” – the Centre of
Innovation Tengku Ampuan Afzan which was opened in 2017. At our centre, these children
are exposed to basic electronics, robotics and programming, e.g. by using basic advance kits like Lego Mindstorm, coding using SCRATCH, Arduino and Microbit, the children are exposed mechanically or electronically and spend time exploring their creativity and innovation. Regular programmes will also be conducted at CINTAA schools that are specially
designed to cultivate the spirit of inquiry and teach children and teenagers the skills acquired to thrive in a high-tech, knowledge based future skill
The objectives are to provide a source of inspiration about science, technology, innovation and To be a vehicle for improving scientific literacy and technology acumen in Raub.
To provide a platform for children from all walks of life to discover the wonders of creativity and ultimately initially and Pahang technology and to develop raise awareness for those with minimal interest in Science and Mathematics ultimately their technology skills and potentials
