Bowls of Steel

Bowls of Steel (BOS) is a uniquely Malaysian noodle bar which fuses handmade noodles with local flavours and produce, bringing a modern twist to familiar tastes.

Each BOS bowl is handcrafted, born out of an obsession to serve good food. Our team spends hours creating rich flavors and textures in your bowls, giving you an elevated experience of the natural ingredients and produce that we use. There are no preservatives or enhancers, every BOS signature element is made fresh by hand in our restaurant.  

Our noodles are made in small batches so that we can retain a consistent integrity and structure. Our broths, tare, jus, gravies, reductions are made under hours of close supervision by our chef and owner, Jun. True savouriness is derived from tenggiri, flounder, cuttlefish, kupang, mushrooms, toasted, slow fried, dried for hours then ground and flaked. 

We are committed to environmental sustainability, both in and out of the kitchen. We try to support the local food ecosystem, picking from the amazing array of local produce to put in our bowls for you to experience. We produce as little waste as possible, using all parts of our produce, from root to leaf. All compostable waste is returned to nature and others are recycled to the extent possible.
