Hughes Christensen (Malaysia), a Baker Hughes Company, is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of drilling has an immediate opening for an Application Engineer focusing on Bit & Drilling Optimization. This position forms part of HCC’s initiative of expanding its industry-leading Application Engineering capabilities to provide technical expertise to clients and differentiation from competitors.We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong technical background. Rig site experience is not required but is a plus. This individual must be a team player with strong problem solving skills, and an effective communicator capable of presenting technical recommendation to clients’ engineering teams.An extensive on-going training program will school the individual in a variety of engineering disciplines, work processes and personal development skills. During the training phase, the Application Engineer will acquire increasing levels of application engineering competency and develop the business skills to create incremental value to HCC. The position will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
