Hengyuan Group of companies include Shandong Hengyuan Petrochemical Company Limited (SHPC) (China), Heng Yuan Holdings Limited (Hong Kong), Malaysia Hengyuan International Limited (MHIL) (Labuan, Malaysia), Hengyuan International Sdn.Bhd (HISB) (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and Hengyuan Refining Company Berhad (HRC) (Port Dickson, Malaysia).

Established in 1970, SHPC is a state-owned enterprise based in Linyi County, Shandong Province, China. SHPC develops, produces, processes, and markets diesel oil, liquefied gas, propylene, propane, polypropylene, tert-butyl alcohol, oil slurry, asphalt, tert-pentene, ethybenzene, and other petroleum related products.

In 2016, the Company underwent a transition of our major shareholder after a structured review exercise to now move into a new era and a new phase of growth. The completion of the acquisition of a 51.0% equity stake in HRC via MHIL in December 2016, marks the dawn of a new era for HRC. The majority shareholder of HRC is Malaysia Hengyuan International Limited (MHIL) as at 22 December 2016 with an equity stake of 51.02 percent in HRC. MHIL is wholly-owned by Heng Yuan Holdings Limited, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shandong Hengyuan Petrochemical Company Limited (SHPC).

Hengyuan International Sdn. Bhd. was formed in September 2018 with our aspiration of becoming the Regional hub to support our subsidiary in the area of Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Contract & Procurement, Technical Advisory and Commercial. Our vision is to set up commodity trading structure to gain competitive advantage and consolidating sources of supply and demand. As the Regional Knowledge Hub, we aim to explore other potential opportunities & collaborations within the region and to further develop our business at a broader perspective.
