The Humble Chef started operations, from a simple food truck selling freshly cooked pasta dishes. Founded by Rosman Hussin, a young Malaysian Chef who worked and trained in Germany, wanted to create good street food which was affordable to the masses. During the early days, Humble Chef stationed itself round the corner from the HELP Institute, a well known local college in Kuala Lumpur. This quickly became very popular amongst the college students from the area. Its popularity grew even further, and then expanded to the general public. This gave Rosman a chance to grow his menu, by fusing his pasta dishes with South East Asian flavors. Ever since he started, customers across Kuala Lumpur have kept coming back, to get a taste of this new style on Italian food with a Malaysian twist.
