Karex Berhad was founded in 1988 in Johor, Malaysia, and since then, we have honed our manufacturing expertise and expanded our facilities significantly. In 2013, we achieved a milestone by listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Presently, with a workforce of over 3,500 employees, Karex has the capacity to produce over five billion condoms annually, solidifying our position as the world's largest condom manufacturer. Our four advanced manufacturing facilities in Pontian, Port Klang, and Senai in Malaysia, along with Hat Yai in Thailand, boast state-of-the-art machinery, all designed and fabricated in-house. These features not only provide Karex with economies of scale but also enable us to adapt to the evolving condom industry swiftly. Additionally, we maintain Sales and Marketing offices in the US and UK to serve our global clientele effectively.

While condoms remain our primary focus, we also manufacture personal lubricants, catheters, probe covers, and gloves.

Our products are distributed through three market segments: the commercial market, catering to private label condoms and brand owner products; the tender market, serving institutional buyers including NGOs and government agencies; and the own brand market, where we market and sell products under our own Karex brands.

Our various global certifications, including ISO/IEC *7025, CE Mark, BSI Kitemark, TISI Standard, FDA 510(k), CMDCAS, and SABS, demonstrate our commitment to consistently manufacturing high-quality products that meet the stringent medical regulations worldwide. We possess the necessary licenses, certifications, and accreditations to export to over 140 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Our dedicated R&D facility continuously designs and develops new products to meet the ever-changing needs of consumers in terms of shape, size, texture/surface, color, flavors, and fragrances. Additionally, we are continuously striving to enhance cost efficiencies, recently establishing a latex compounding facility and incorporating greater degrees of automation to reduce reliance on manual labor.

Since going public, Karex has embarked on an ambitious journey to move up the value chain by developing our rapidly growing own brand segment. Through strategic acquisitions, we now possess branding expertise and distribution networks in Thailand, the USA, and the UK.
