Retail Assistant roles & responsibilities include:
- Support the day-to-day business operations of the retail store
- Greeting customers the moment they enter the store and making them feel welcome
- Perform cashiering function / Cashiering counter closing
- Be approachable and be a good listener in discovering customers’ needs
- Recommend a product and solution in meeting customers’ needs & objectives
- Generate interest through the sharing of product knowledge
- Keeping abreast of product knowledge through continuous learning
- Overcoming customers’ objections
- Upselling of pet accessories, toys etc.
- Promote and market PLC membership sign-ups & renewals
- Provide tender loving care to small animals in the store
- Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff, customers and pets
