Knowing Children

Our Aim is to improve the information available worldwide for designing programmes and policies for children.

 

Our mission is that all projects and programmes for children will be built on scientific rights-based research.  We are committed to being aware of and informed about children and respecting children's wisdom and expertise.

Knowing Children was established in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2006.  It is in the provess of being registered Malaysia.  The organisation gets its mandate from the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

We provide Capacity-building workshops and training in research and by research programmes.

Identify and fill in gaps in information by publishing high quality and low-cost books and manuals, through the publishing division, Black and White Publications.

Identify specific priorities in the human rights of children where information is lacking or inadequate.  Current priorities are Citizenship of children, children with disabilities, economic exploitation of children and the spirit of peace.
