The Royal Malaysia Police consists of 137,574 senior police officers, lower-ranking police officers, and civil servants. This membership reflects the diversity of tasks carried out by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), ranging from general duties involving traditional policing and maintaining close interaction with the public, to the General Operations Force carrying out non-regulatory tasks such as preventing the entry of unauthorized immigrants and combating communist terrorist uprisings in the past.
