Reef Guardian Sdn Bhd

Reef Guardian Sdn. Bhd. is a private and non-profit organization appointed by Sabah Wildlife Department. Reef Guardian's main objective is to fully manage and control human activities within the Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area (S.I.M.C.A).

SIMCA is to ensure the balance between the need to utilize resources for the eco-tourism industry and conserve the coral reef and marine life.

Reef Guardian's missions:

- To implement a strict NO take zone.

- To eradicate all forms of illegal fishing.

- To foster progressive coral reef and sea grass bed habitats restoration.

- To protect sea turtle and foster an increase in nesting.

- To foster funding to support SIMCA management.
