History

Mr. Clark G Hatch, just out of the military, opened his first Clark Hatch Fitness Centers in 1965 at the basement of an apartment complex in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. * In 1972 he expanded out of Japan to Seoul, Korea and in 1974 was involved in his first hotel chain and opened in Hong Kong. * Expansion continued into Manila, Philippines in 1975. * It was in 1976 that Mr. Hatch moved to sunny Honolulu, Hawaii where he still operates today at the Hawaii Building and maintains his residence. * 1978 was the year he opened in Jakarta, Indonesia followed by Singapore in 1979. * 1980 proved to be a hectic year with new centers opening in Bangkok, Taipei and the opening of the first Clark Hatch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. * In the early 1980â€™s, Clark Hatch expanded to several locations within the United States â€“ Dallas, Seattle, Kuaii, Guam, Tucson, Minneapolis, San Francisco and Palm Springs. * 1983 marks the opening of new centers in Brisbane and Sydney, Australia. * China was the next country to be penetrated in 1986. * Mr. Hatch signed an agreement on 1996 to open in Hanoi, Vietnam.This was followed by an opening in Cambodia in 1997. * In the year 2000, Mr Hatch selected Kuala Lumpur as the corporate headquarters. * In the same year Clark Hatch launched itâ€™s premier brand â€“ â€œClark Hatch Fitness Centers & Lifespa. This new brand offers a luxurious spa and a state-of-the-art fitness facility. * The total lifestyle concept is the future for Clark Hatch Fitness Centers worldwide.
